The large new platform not only provides ample room for passengers but also anything they bring along for the ride. The CX-90 also comes well-equipped with a variety of appealing features, from a power-sliding glass moonroof to a hands-free power liftgate. The highest trim level features supple Nappa leather-trimmed seating, two rows of ventilated seats, and 2nd-row captain’s chairs.
Drive and Handling
The CX-90 gives you a pair of powertrain options to choose from. First up is the 3.3-liter e-Skyactiv turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, paired with the M-Hybrid Boost mild hybrid system that maximizes power without taking a hit when it comes to efficiency. The end result is 340 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. The CX-90 also comes in a plug-in hybrid form with its own distinctive drivetrain, consisting of a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine mated to an electric motor and a 17.8-kilowatt-hour battery. With 323 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque on tap, the PHEV version is no slouch performance-wise. Both powertrains benefit from an eight-speed automatic transmission.
That driving experience is further enhanced by the CX-90’s Kinematic Posture Control. This feature minimizes body lift while cornering, allowing every occupant to stay planted in their natural posture, even during spirited driving.

Design
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 exudes the brand’s trademark design ethos. Carefully chiseled character lines, flowing curves, and tastefully applied brightwork give the large crossover a minimalist look and feel, all while exhibiting a sense of quiet elegance. The interior features the same minimalist elegance, complete with an assortment of materials designed to foster a luxurious environment for the driver and passengers alike. The available Artisan Red paint option was made specifically to enhance the CX-90’s appearance.
Safety
With features like Mazda Radar Cruise Control and Smart Brake Support as part of the standard i-Activsense safety package, the CX-90 ensures that every journey is a safe one. The available See-Through View monitor puts drivers in greater control of everyday parking situations. Other impressive features include Vehicle Exit Warning, which warns exiting occupants of cyclists and other vehicles and obstacles approaching from the rear.

The Mazda CX-90 proves there are multiple ways to enjoy the journey. The CX-90 surrounds both the driver and passengers in an array of advanced tech features. By controlling seat position, outer mirror angles, and steering wheel positions, the available Driver Personalization System provides a bespoke cockpit experience tailored to a specific driver. One can also access their infotainment options via their choice of a standard 10.25-inch or optional 12.3-inch center display and keep their smartphones topped up with the available wireless charging pad.
